ANNA JANE SOWERS, 92, formerly of 1100 Hamilton Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Ravenwood Lutheran Home in Hagerstown. Born November 13, 1918 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Exie Stephy Fry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Sowers. She graduated from Hagerstown High School in Class of 1935. She was formerly employed by Fairchild Corporation. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by one niece, Sarah Strandjord; three nephews, Daniel Strandjord, David Strandjord, and Mark Strandjord. She was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Strandjord. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro, Maryland. The Rev. Eric Norgard will officiate. There will be no visitation.
