ALEXANDER JOHN "ALEX" HARRIS, 82 of 17542 Woodland Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, August 19, 2006 at his home. Born April 10, 1924 in Bristol, England, he was the son of the late George and Lilian Rodgers Harris. He was retired from Danzer Metal Works. He is survived by his wife, Helen Shank Harris; two daughters, Susan Harris of Baydon, England and Jacquelyn Alexander of East Bourne, England; one step daughter, Brenda Eichelberger of Clear Spring, Maryland; one sister, Lilian Steiner of Bristol, England; one grandson; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one half sister; one half brother. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Friends may call at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The family requests the omission of flowers.
