Scott M. Minnich, Sr. / Owner

Scott M. Minnich, Sr. was born January 10, 1946, in Hagerstown, Maryland. He graduated from South Hagerstown High School. He received his Mortuary Science degree from AAMI, in New York. Following graduation, he returned to Hagerstown and joined the family-owned business, with his father and uncle.

Scott is married to D. Diona Wallers Minnich. They have two sons, Frank J. and Scott M. Jr., who are both working in the business. Scott and Diona have 6 grandchildren.

Scott is a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, in Hagerstown, and is actively involved in various organizations and committees. He is a member of the Antietam Fire Company, the Alsatia Club, the B.P.O. Elks Lodge 378, the Hagerstown Power Squadron, the Moose Club, the North American Rod and Gun Club, the Fraternal Order of Police, the National Directors Association, and the Selected Independent Funeral Homes.

Scott has sincere devotion of the community and this includes the families that use his establishment. It is his desire to continue serving the families, in the way the generation before him did, by putting a strong emphasis on serving their needs. He is concerned that his staff has the same goals.

His hobbies are trains and purchasing antique automobiles. Scott is most proud of the 1947 Packard Hearse he had reconditioned and it has been used by some of the families.

Bob Rankin / Manager

Bob Rankin is a lifelong resident of Hagerstown. Bob graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School, in 1967; from Shepherd College in 1975, with a B.S. degree; from Catonsville Community College, with a degree in Mortuary Science, in 1981; and in 2001, he received his Master's degree in Business Administration, from Frostburg State University. Bob has been a licensed funeral director for 20 years.

Bob is a member of St. Mary's Parish in Hagerstown, as well as, the Hagerstown Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, and the Elks Lodge. He is also very active in the community and is currently serving on several non-profit boards, including the Antietam Health Care Foundation and the American Red Cross.

Bob's past history includes: volunteering for 32 years with the local United Way, including Campaign Chairman and Board President; for 46 years, as a member of the Hagerstown Y.M.C.A., having served as its Board President and member of the Board of Trustees.

Bob is married to Sukey Rankin. They are the proud parents of one son, Derek Rankin, a graduate of Virginia Military Institute who is currently serving as Captian in the US Airforce.

James L. Spicer

James L. Spicer, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, is a long time resident of Hagerstown. He graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1984 and in that same year, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 136. He graduated from Hagerstown Community College in 1986 with an A.A. in Business Administration, from Shepherd University in 1989 with a B.S. in Business Administration and from Catonsville Community College in 1992 with a degree in Mortuary Science.

Jim has been an employee of Minnich Funeral Home since high school graduation. He lives in Hagerstown with his wife, Christy. They are members of the Maranatha Brethren Church and he plays on the church softball team. Jim is also a Life member of the National Eagle Scout Association and is a member of the Izaak Walton Club.

Scott M. Minnich, Jr.

Scott M. Minnich, Jr., was born February 13, 1980 in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Scott is the son of Scott M. Minnich, Sr. and D. Diona Minnich. He is the father of Andrew Michael Minnich.

He graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1998. He served his apprenticeship and graduated from Catonsville Community College with a degree in Mortuary Science and became a licensed funeral director in 2005.

Scott looks forward to continuing the tradition of serving families with care and respect.

Steven A. Rogowski, Jr.

Steven A. Rogowski, Jr., was born and raised in Wyoming, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Wyoming Area High School in 1988 and from Simons Institute of Funeral Service in 2000 with a Degree in Funeral Service Arts and Sciences. .

He became a licensed Funeral Director in 2001 and relocated to South Carolina, where he practiced with a funeral service firm for several years. He moved to Hagerstown and then obtained his Maryland State Funeral Directors License.

Steven has four children, Steven A. III, Jennifer, Kyle and Matthew. He resides in Pennsylvania with his wife, Christine and their two sons. They are members of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hagerstown.

Steve looks forward to serving the families of the area in the Minnich tradition and becoming an active member of the community.
